The Department of Romance, German and Slavic Languages and Literatures at The George Washington University is accepting applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position in the Italian program. The successful candidate will teach Italian language courses at the beginning, intermediate or advanced level, depending on program needs, with a teaching load of 3/3. The candidate will also coordinate the Italian language program, including hiring, training and managing language program staff.
The minimum qualification for this position is an M.A. in Italian Pedagogy or related fields (Ph.D preferred); experience in college level teaching; and native or near-native fluency in both Italian and English.
